Hi I am Sarah. In 2019 I was serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a small village in Northern Namibia. One of the host dogs gave birth to four puppies on the day my mom died. I decided it was a sign to adopt one and therefore named my pup "life" in the local language, Rumanyo. Due to COVID-19 I was evacuated 7 months into my service. As a way to spread joy and find a reason to love life again after coming back to the US, I started Love Liparu.
about the cause
For my first 6 months profit I donated 5% to the Tomato Foster Club. They are a non-profit in Louisiana that helps foster extremely young and sick kittens. I chose them as they care for kittens that most would not even try to help. I also donated my remaining Halloween bandanas to Three Little Pitties rescue as one of my models works there but they also do great work helping pets in need in TX find homes in the PNW.
