Hello world - I'm Melissa, and I'm the creator of kerami! I sell delicately handmade, minimalist clay earrings that are designed for everyday wear. I started this humble clay jewelry shop in December 2020 with the goal of creating affordable pieces that were versatile, non-irritating for sensitive ears, and lightweight enough to wear all day! Sustainability and giving back to my community has always been important to me, which is why every order ships in reused/recyclable packaging and a portion of sales donated to an important cause! Other than jewelry, I love to read, produce music, binge-watch Netflix, and travel in search of yummy food. Thank you for checking out my shop!

about the cause

Untitled_Artwork%206_edited.jpg

Black Girls Code provides technology education for young African-American girls by organizing workshops, events, and many other opportunities! Two summers ago, I had a great time working with their staff as a volunteer and saw how excited these girls were to participate in these programs! As a female software engineer, I think it's important that we not only hire and provide learning opportunities to underrepresented folks, but also foster supportive environments at school and work that enables them to succeed. Thanks to you all, I'm fortunate to be in a position where I'm able to put money towards causes that I want to see make change in the world. I appreciate all of your support!
